Monthly Meet-Up 22 March

Our Spring Sunday social was so joyful

  • With 26 attendees the mood was as usual, fun, vibrant, chatty and welcoming, with lots of time spent in the garden as the Spring warmth warmed our cockles.​
     

  • Notable, again, was the welcome given to and contribution made by the newcomers who came, as they chatted, chilled and hung out with the regulars. 

  • Some feedback was given on the possible developments we might undertake this year, which may include such things as; a naked spa break away, beach trip to North Wales, a walk in Budby forest, open garden visits and the introduction of a new communication/ chat channel for the group.

Naked Men Life Drawing Group - 11 March

Oh the joys of sketching naked men!​
 

  • Our third Bare Naked Artists: Naked Men Drawing Naked Men life drawing event, which just keeps on growing and who doesn't like a grower...with the largest ever attendance of 20 people. Amazing!
     

  • There were returners and newcomers alike. Several unsure whether their lack of drawing skills would prevent them participating, but no, the friendly, supportive, encouraging nature of this event means everyone is included, valued and appreciated, with progress being made by everyone. This is a community, of talent, of effort, of love and care for each other.

  • With last minute changes to the models, the amazing Alan undertook two long poses in the second part of the evening, creating striking images for people to sketch and draw. The concentration and positive intensity was palpable, as beautiful images were created.
     

  • With support from our new guide/tutor, Rupert, we were ably led, to mix creativity, innovation and technical skills along with being communal, focused, chatty, interested and included, building a rapport as we shared the striking images and progress made by everyone. 

Monthly Meet-Up 22 February

Another joyful Hang Out with fun a plenty

  • With 28 attending the atmosphere was, as ever, joyful, chatty, friendly and welcoming. ​
     

  • Along with the regulars we had first-time visitors from London, Cheltenham and Liverpool, who were welcomed warmly and in friendship.
     

  • There was a plentiful supply of cake as we celebrated a birthday over the weekend and a small pool tournament had balls dropping in earnest. 

  • Following the main Meet-Up, several people stayed to take part in our first Planning Meeting, with some great ideas and thoughts about activities, events and ways in which we can build on the momentum that's been created these last eight months.
     

  • A separate post and consultation about those will be created, with a view to getting a sense of which are most popular and most achievable in the short and longer term.

Naked Men Life Drawing Group - 11 February

And 2026 continues apace​
 

  • Naked men! Tools drawn, sketching, drawing, laughing, concentrating, conversing, flourishing pencils and chalks deftly! It can only mean one thing - the second Bare Naked Artists: Naked Men Drawing Naked Men life drawing event
     

  • Once again we had 16 people attending, many returners and several newcomers. Some having never been to any sort of naked event before, overcoming their nerves to participate and experience the fun, joy, friendliness and achievement this group brings.

  • Our main model for the night, the effervescent Tom, was joined by one of the newbies, who became so relaxed and confident, he volunteered to co-model for the latter part of the evening. A testament to the camaraderie, trust and care created by all those attending.
     

  • Supported by our guide/tutor the results were, again, wonderful; hidden/past talents were revealed and shared, the inexperienced were creative, the models were strong, the mood was joyful, light and we were a community.

Monthly Meet-Up 25 January

2026 continues with the first Monthly Meet-Up of the year.​

  • ​The warmth and welcome shown between friends and regulars, and with newcomers to our events.
     

  • The relaxed mood of the Fox, the welcome given by Darren our resident bar staff, the care we show for each other, the spontaneous frivolity and more.
     

  • The fun and laughter, the easygoing mood, the patience and kindness given to those needing time.

  • ​​​​​​​​With 31 attending this first Monthly Meet-Up of 2026, the mood was lively, happy, noisy at times as we all mingled, moved and meandered from one conversation to another.
     

  • Several hardy souls were outside for periods with the toasty heater keeping us warm (enough), along with our Traitors glow-up cloaks - well hooded dressing gowns :)
    We had fun!

Naked Men Life Drawing Group - 14 January 

And so 2026 starts!​
 

  • Move over Michelangelo! 🎨
     

  • What a fun first event that was for the Bare Naked Artists: Naked Men Drawing Naked Men life drawing group 😃
     

  • With 16 people attending, along with two amazing models and our guide/tutor, this was a joyful celebration of the male nude, with everyone, not just the models in the buff. With our pencils and chalks sharpened, rubbers at the ready, everyone sitting comfortably, we were off!

  • For some it was the first time since school at trying to move beyond a stick person, for others, with more experience, it was a refresher, brush up and chance to try something different.
     

  • The results were amazing! 
     

  • In just a few hours people's progress was so good, supported by our guide and each other, the models posing patiently; we created art, we created laughter, we created community!
